National High-Level Policy Dialogue on indigenous peoples' rights :Indigenous Voice with Rojina Lama Episode - 102
487 Views | December 11, 2018As a follow up to the high-level national policy dialogue organised in January 6-7, 2017, Lawyer's Association for Human Rights of Nepalese Indigenous Peoples (LAHURNIP) jointly with International Land Coalition and National Engagement Strategy jointly organized one day multi-stakeholders high- level dialogue on the Indigenous Peoples' rights and their implementation. Government representatives mainly from Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, National Human Rights Commissions and representatives from various indigenous peoples' organizations had participated in it.
During the dialogue, there was mainly reviews of the past progress in ensuring of rights of indigenous peoples and their implementations were vehemently discussed. The dialogue aimed at promoting the implementation of rights of indigenous peoples in law and policy making process in changing political context.
